This past weekend I served as a photographer for the Eat Write Retreat. I will be posting about the food blogging conference on Mango & Tomato, but wanted to share with you some photographs I snapped around Capitol Hill while touring the area with the DC Food Tours and sampling amazing food.

Perhaps this last photograph was a sign: have courage, do things that slightly scare you and move forward!

Peonies & a new orchid

Know what I believe in? Buying myself flowers! This goes along with cooking for myself and surrounding myself with people and things that make me happy. There is no need to wait for a man to give you flowers!
