Pleasure, Tears and Joy

Today was a day full of different emotions.

Pleasure: met up with Kamal and went for "coffee" at Sova, owned by Kavitha's husband. Sova is a super pretty place with 4 distinct rooms, beautiful chandeliers, a soon-to-be wine bar and great white peach tea served in actual cups (not paper!!!). We then met up with several other people for Indian food. Delicious! I had a lamb dish, which was really good, but wish it had some sort of a sauce with it: good thing Kamal was willing to share his.

Tears: after dinner we all headed out to Landmark Bethesda movie theater to see The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. I haven't heard of this movie before, but it's based on a true story about a real person and it's French with subtitles, so I knew it would be good. Without ruining the story, I just want to say that this was a fantastic movie and it made me cry twice. If you see it (and I think you should), let me know what you thought and maybe we cried at the same moments?

Joy: I've been waiting to receive my coral necklace for a week now. Yesterday I obsessively checked to see if it was here, and it wasn't. Today I checked my mail twice: it still was not here. Tonight, after the movie, I decided to check my mailbox for the third time: and there it was! I finally got my necklace and I really like it! It is so vibrant! And the beads are perfectly round, and there is an extender, so I think it will be super versatile and fun to wear! If you live in DC, you'll see me wearing it quite a bit :)

There are 5 minutes left in the day, so I'd better go to bed. Adieu!

I can't believe I ended up with "Pleasure" vs. "Joy."
