Leather Jewelry

On Thursday I stopped by at West Elm and bought a lap blanket in a pretty blue color for $9.97. The blanket was tied with a brown suede-y looking cord: I thought it'd be great as a necklace. At first I hung a pendant (from Des Moines) from it and tied the ends with a simple knot.

But then today, after my jewelry class, I decided to class it up a bit and actually put silver tone clasps on each end of the cord and suspend a mini extender (I made it myself using a fine chain and a few o-rings) from one of the ends.

I had some cord left and made a bracelet that has two adjustable knots: something I also learned at the jewelry class.
